On February 21st, Wingate University proudly hosted the Labor Market Alignment Workgroup of Our Future in UNiSON. This significant healthcare roundtable aimed to assess workforce alignment and identify training gaps within Anson and Union counties.
The event welcomed 37 stakeholders from various sectors, including K-12 education, community colleges, universities, and the healthcare industry. Together, they tackled the pressing challenges and exciting opportunities associated with aligning educational pathways to meet labor market needs. Melissa Smith, Senior State Director of Health Science Programs at the NC Community College System Office, facilitated the insightful discussion.
